About
I am a Gifted Education Advocate and work with gifted
communities throughout the U.S. and globally. I worked in education for 18 years and hold
a B.A. in Sociology. Gifted Parenting Support began in March of 2010 to support parents of gifted children. To date, this blog has been read in over 110 countries and its readership includes parents, educators, and academics.
From March of 2012 to December of 2923, I worked for the Texas Association for Gifted and Talented as the moderator of Global #gtchat Powered by TAGT on Twitter (X). I've presented at the following conferences: 2012 - 2018 TAGT Annual Conferences; 2013, 2015, 2017 PAGE Conferences; 2013 WCGTC Conference; 2015 NAGC Conference; and 2016 - 2017 SENG Conferences.
My professional memberships include PAGE, TAGT, NAGC, and WCGTC. I served on NAGC's Parent Editorial and Content Advisory Board 2013 to 2018. In 2015, I was awarded the NAGC Community Service Award.
