We need to move forward with our kids, and as technology developes it is important for us as parents to at least make the effort to understand it and help our children to understand it and use it responsibly.. Yes, they may meet some bad influences out there in cyberworld, but equally, they can and do meet some extraordinary mentors and friends which can have very positive influences on their lives.. <br /><br />Knowing oneself, and being able and comfortable in ones skin, is a great place to be.. it is through this that you can either be happy with yourself or have a good idea of what you want to do about change, and how to go about it... such as where and what you want to study and where.. and to go for it with passion... We as parents can help.. especially if we are able to instill the value of relfective and introspective thinking. <br /><br />When I hear my children speaking/mentoring friends with difficulties on the phone, with patience and understanding...
